Equitable access to transportation is a cornerstone of healthy, connected communities. In the greater Las Vegas region, persistent gaps in mobility infrastructure and multimodal access continue to impact underserved communities and vulnerable road users. Addressing these challenges requires not only investment, but also a shared commitment to community-centered planning.
Through the Let’s Go Together: All-Access Mobility Plan (AAMP), the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is taking a proactive step toward closing these gaps. As part of this effort, Horizon 54 is leading the Mobility for All Training Series, a hands-on learning initiative designed to strengthen local capacity for equitable transportation planning and investment.

Hosted in Las Vegas’ Historic Westside, the training series brought together public sector professionals, community advocates, and local leaders committed to improving mobility outcomes in their communities. Across three sessions held on September 29, 2025, December 10, 2025, and February 10, 2026, participants engaged in collaborative learning experiences focused on advancing inclusive transportation solutions.
The series was designed to move beyond theory, equipping participants with practical tools and frameworks to apply directly within their communities. Through interactive discussions, real-world examples, and peer exchange, attendees explored how to:
- Reimagine transportation investments to better serve all community members
- Apply core principles of “mobility for all” in planning and design
- Center people-first, community-driven decision-making in infrastructure projects
From Learning to Action
A key component of the training series is its direct connection to the All-Access Mobility Plan. Participants are not only learning, they are actively contributing to the development of strategies and priorities that will shape transportation investments across Southern Nevada.
Central to this effort is the co-creation of the Mobility for All Investment Guide, a resource designed to support thoughtful, community-based decision-making. While tailored to the AAMP study area, the guide is intended to serve as a replicable model for other regions seeking to advance equitable mobility outcomes.
By integrating community insights, technical expertise, and cross-sector collaboration, the training series ensures that the resulting plan reflects both lived experiences and best practices in the field.
