New Stewardship Models for an Equitable and Inclusive Chesapeake Bay Watershed
Anne Arundel Watershed Stewards Academy (AAWSA) trains residents in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, to lead projects in their communities for a cleaner, healthier Chesapeake Bay. Equitable Cities is supporting AAWSA’s New Stewardship Models for an Equitable and Inclusive Chesapeake Bay Watershed, a project funded by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The goal of this project is to increase program accessibility, and guarantee that resources for environmental restoration and greening projects are reaching underserved communities in the Northern and Western parts of the County. Our team is gathering and evaluating information about residents from underserved communities, and aiding in identifying program development opportunities.
