Our founder and CEO recently joined Stephanie Rouse and Jennifer Hiatt of Booked on Planning, a project of the Nebraska Chapter of the American Planning Association, to talk about his new book (Arrested Mobility: Overcoming the Threat to Black Movement) and what it means for the planning profession. At its core, Arrested Mobility asks a simple but important question: Who is presumed to belong in publicspace, and who is continually required to explain their presence in it?
They talked about the Four Ps—polity, policy, planning, and policing—and how they work together to shape whether people can move freely, safely, and without suspicion.
